Our guests Marian Volintiru and Nicolae Geanta arrived on 16th February afternoon, relaxed and were ready to set off for Karamoja the following day.
While in Karamoja, we commissioned four new boreholes, gave out 7,200 kilograms of corn flour, 6,000 kilograms of beans, 40 boxes of cookies, over 1,000 pieces of clothes, candies among other items.
Early last year 2023, we started a tailoring project in one of the slum areas in Kampala. A total number of 23 ladies who are single mothers were enrolled and 16 managed to complete. We concluded our mission trip with a colorful graduation ceremony where these ladies showcased what they have done and are able to do. We want to thank you all for the donations of the sewing machines that have seen these ladies get a skill to improve on their livelihoods and support their families. The next enrollment is set to start this month. We have also extended this tailoring project to Kanungu where sixty (60) machines have been bought already and the project is commencing soon.
